Goss Farm and federal funds: Forty-nine percent of the $1.3 million purchase of the Goss Barn and property came from U.S.D.A. Farm and Ranch Lands Protection Program funding. Swallow nesting is a compatible use within the agricultural easement, in addition to the protection of agricultural soil and open space and providing outdoor recreation and education opportunities.
